8 SESSIONS-MEET ONCE A WEEK FOR 45 MINUTES IN PERSON OR ON TEAMS
24/7ish ACCESS TO ME FOR ATHLETE THROUGH TEXT FOR ANY EMERGENCIES
WILL ASK FOR COMPETITION SCHEDULE FROM ATHLETE
ATHLETE WILL GET MOTIVATIONAL TEXTS FROM ME BEFORE A COMPETITION
DEPENDING ON MY SCHEDULE I WILL TRY TO ATTEND A COMPETITION IF LOCAL TO COLUMBUS,OH
EACH ONE ON ONE SESSION IS DESIGNED TO BE CONVERSATIONAL, CASUAL -PULLING FROM THE ATHLETE’S EXPERIENCES. ESTABLISHING A SAFE, TRUSTING SPACE. FROM THE FIRST SESSION WE WILL LEARN, GROW, BE BIG, BOLD AND BRIGHT TOGETHER.
SESSION 1-WHAT IS YOUR STORY?-Getting to know you and goal setting for the next 8 weeks.
SESSION 2-FIND AND USE YOUR POWER
TO INSPIRE AND TO BE INSPIRED-As an athlete, you have the gift of inspiring others. You can also be inspired by those around you. Using that feeling of inspiration as motivation is powerful. Influencing others through inspiring them has a positive and larger reaching outcome.
SHARING YOUR POWER-with teammates, opponents, and coaches. Sharing our power with those around us brings strength to the good of the whole. We all have power it is how we share and use it everyday that strengthens it. Sharing your power shows by taking up space, not playing small-glowing in your gift. Jumping in when it is uncomfortable, being big, bold and bright.
SESSION 3- VISUALIZATION AND POSITIVE SELF TALK
VISUALIZATION-this is a powerful tool for sport and life. MENTAL REHEARSAL- This involves imaging yourself performing in your mind. It is a way for you to mentally rehearse your skills which increases the trust you have in them.
POSITIVE SELF TALK-You can use self talk to increase your confidence because it works to retail your thought patterns. The more confident thoughts you have, the more confident you will feel.
SESSION 4-SELF ADVOCATING- How to speak up for yourself effectively with teammates, coaches and athletic administration. Becoming your own advocate gives YOU POWER.
SESSION 5-FUELING YOUR MIND AND BODY
LOVING YOUR BODY and what it does for you everyday. Comparison is the thief of joy. It is hard to avoid comparisons. We must work through this. We should give love to our body because it allows us to do what we love. Recovery is a big way to love your body and your mind.
FUELING OUR BODIES and giving them what they need to do all that we ask it to is key. Getting enough of the proteins, carbs, fruits and veggies is huge!! Know when to eat meals like morning, noon, and evening. Also, understand the importance of pre-workout, during workout, and post-workout nutrition. This knowledge will give you all you need to stay healthy, strong, and full of energy.
SESSION 6-LEADERSHIP-A person can’t be a great leader without genuinely caring about their team’s success. They must truly care about the success of every team member. It is genuinely caring for the well-being and development of the individuals you are responsible for leading. This means taking concrete actions to support and uplift your team members. Avoid simply proclaiming your concern with empty words. True leadership is demonstrated through meaningful, compassionate actions that prioritize the welfare and growth of your team. Leading in this way creates safe, trusted environments.
SESSION 7-KEEPING THE LOVE OF YOUR SPORT-Love of the sport is core to your motivation. It is the fundamental reason you are doing what you are doing. Something drew you to your sport. That something can be many things. However, the root of it is love. You will not love it all the time. At the end of the day, that love is why you keep coming back to it. It is essential to keep that love intact in some way.
SESSION 8-YOUR EXPECTATIONS VS OUTSIDE EXPECTATIONS-Having clear personal expectations gives you, the athlete purpose and direction. Your expectations for your athletic career are priority. You are the athlete, you are the one out there putting your everything into your sport. Managing all outside expectations of you is what can be difficult and stressing. When your expectations don’t match everyone else’s, you need to communicate clearly. Explain what your heart wants and needs. This helps to get your support team on the same page with you.
SESSION 9- WRAP UP-OPEN CONVERSATION-Open discussion on our weekly work.

We must make mental health a normal part of our everyday lives. Positive self-talk should also be part of that routine. Additionally, we should incorporate techniques that support healthy living.
SESSION 5-LEADERSHIP-Being capable of leading effectively and thoughtfully is an important life skill. Leadership can be loud and extroverted but can also be quiet and introverted. By modeling behaviors and pursuing through with actions leaders can make huge impacts on the communities that surround them.
SESSION 6-WRAP UP CONVERSATION-taking the conversation beyond this experience. You have done the work now it’s time to fly! Staying connected with each other-use each other as support.

WALK AND TALKS can be in your neighborhood, in a park or on a trail. I am flexible on location. WALK AND TALKS can also be COFFEE AND TALKS or ONLINE AND TALKS. I can meet you where you are, in whatever way works best for you.
30 minutes: $30 a session
60 minutes: $60 a session
